The importance in voting in the American elections is for one, to exercise our rights as an American because many other countries do not have the same rights, also, voting was not always a default right as it is today. Majority of voters are those in older age groups, however younger generations are the newest members of today's democracy and if students and younger generations are not informed and do not vote it can affect the voter turn out drastically. An article by CampusVoteProject.org stated, "Millennials and Get Z will be the largest share of eligible voters in 2020." Imagine the difference that us younger generations can make if we were all to participate in the election. If you are not eligible to vote it is important to educate yourself and others!

Module 2
The graph shows VTO between men and women between the years 1965-2015. It is evident that as time went on more women began voting compared to men. However, these results are limited to the majority of the group who chose to not classify themselves as a specific gender.
Primary data is data that is being collected first hand be a researcher using questionnaires, surveys, experiments, etc. Statistical data may include data from the government, journals, articles, etc. Accessing primary data can have some advantages as well as disadvantages. Primary data is known to be more reliable and authentic, however it is also difficult to access and can be pricy. When researching for Primary data it is difficult to find and you also have to be aware of whether or not it is coming from a trustable source. When using primary data in your research its important to be cautious on trusting the data. Be sure to keep in mind any arguments that could be made about the data you're using. In this instance, what about those who chose not to classify as either gender? They are not being considered in this data and could affect the VTO.

Module 4
In a group activity we created a poll for Montgomery College students at the Rockville campus. We wanted to know about the students in science, art, english and business majors to determine how knowledgeable they are about their desired field. We plan on retrieving this information by interviewing and sending out a short survey by email. Here is the survey we constructed: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W9WST25
While our group was in the process of figuring out which survey plan we wanted to compose, we were able to narrow it down from the population of Montgomery College students to a sample size in the Rockville Campus. Our sample size will be obtained from students in science, art, and business majors. Our main goal is to determine how they will use their degree in their chosen career path, how knowledgeable they are about the incomes of someone in that field may have, and how their choice of career will make them successful in the upcoming future. Our survey will be given to all students through email, surveys and interviews. Our surveys will consist of five simple questions testing how knowledgeable students are about their career path. While creating this survey we discovered how challenging it was to create questions that are not too broad for the information we were trying to find. I believe our group worked well together in trying to get the correct wording of the survey questions being asked.
